Crab Champions is a fast third-person roguelike shooter where armed crabs fight through colorful islands filled with enemies, loot, and increasingly chaotic combat. Runs are built around rapidly stacking weapon upgrades, perks, elemental effects, and other bonuses until ordinary firearms can develop into extremely powerful combinations.
The game can be played alone or cooperatively, with movement remaining quick even as enemy numbers and projectile effects grow. Short encounters, frequent upgrades, and a wide range of possible builds make repeated runs the main focus rather than a traditional linear campaign.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move from island to island, clearing waves of enemies before selecting rewards and choosing the next encounter. Guns behave differently depending on their base characteristics and acquired modifications, while perks can increase damage, elemental effects, critical hits, projectile count, survivability, and many other statistics.
Movement includes jumping, sliding, and fast directional changes that allow skilled players to remain mobile while fighting large groups. Shops and special encounters provide additional opportunities to improve a build before boss battles. Higher difficulty settings and unlockable weapons encourage continued runs after the basic progression has been completed.
