Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller is an arcade-style driving game built around picking up passengers and delivering them to their destinations as quickly and wildly as possible. Players race through busy streets, ignore normal traffic rules, take shortcuts, perform stunts, and earn money before the overall timer runs out. The game brings together locations and drivers from the earlier Crazy Taxi games while introducing a new Las Vegas-inspired area called Glitter Oasis and additional playable taxi drivers.
The game includes three main locations: West Coast from the original Crazy Taxi, Small Apple from Crazy Taxi 2, and the new Glitter Oasis. Each area features different roads, landmarks, shortcuts, traffic patterns, and destinations to learn. Crazy Hop and multiple-passenger pickups also return, adding more options for avoiding traffic and increasing the amount of money that can be earned during a successful run.
How the Gameplay Works
Players drive around the city searching for passengers marked by colored indicators that represent the approximate distance of their requested trip. After picking someone up, an arrow points toward the destination and a separate timer begins counting down. Reaching the location quickly earns a fare and possible time bonus, while taking too long causes the passenger to leave without paying. The main session continues until the overall game timer reaches zero.
Driving techniques such as Crazy Dash, Crazy Drift, Crazy Hop, jumps, and near misses can be chained together to earn additional tips. Some customers appear in groups, requiring players to drop several passengers at different destinations before receiving the complete fare. Crazy X provides a collection of skill-based challenges that test driving techniques and can unlock additional bonuses, including unusual vehicles and the ability to use different drivers across the available cities.
