Zoo Tycoon is a management simulation game that lets players design, build, and operate their own zoo. How the Gameplay Works

Terrain type, trees, rocks, water, shelters, and the number of animals in the enclosure can all affect their happiness, making each species require a different setup.

Zoo Keepers can be hired to feed and care for animals, while maintenance workers repair fences and keep the park clean. Players must monitor finances, visitor happiness, animal welfare, and overall zoo rating while deciding when to expand. Research can unlock additional animals, buildings, and improvements over time, while scenario mode introduces goals such as reaching a certain zoo rating, maintaining animal happiness, attracting a required number of guests, or achieving financial targets.
