Atrio: The Dark Wild is a survival and automation game set in a dark post-apocalyptic world illuminated by scattered artificial light. Players control a replaceable android tasked with restoring Station 3 while investigating what happened to humanity and why the surrounding wilderness has become so dangerous.
Survival eventually depends on automation rather than performing every task manually. Machines, production lines, and even captured creatures from the wilderness can be incorporated into systems that gather and process resources.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore the dark environment, gather resources, craft equipment, construct machinery, and connect production systems around their base. The wilderness contains creatures that can be captured and assigned useful functions inside automated production chains.
As the base expands, players can automate farming, crafting, gathering, and other repetitive work while spending more time exploring. Restoring power and investigating new areas gradually reveals additional information about Station 3 and the missing humans.
