About This Game:
Prototype 2 returns to a New York devastated by the Blacklight virus and introduces Sergeant James Heller as its new protagonist. After losing his family during the outbreak, Heller becomes infected and gains extraordinary shapeshifting abilities. He soon begins hunting Alex Mercer, the protagonist of the first game, believing Mercer is responsible for the disaster that destroyed his life.
The city is divided into zones with different levels of infection and military control. Heller can move freely across rooftops and streets while completing story missions, destroying infected creatures, attacking Blackwatch forces, and absorbing people to uncover information connected to the conspiracy.
How the Gameplay Works
Heller can sprint at extreme speed, leap between buildings, glide through the air, climb walls, and survive falls that would kill an ordinary human. His body can transform into weapons such as claws, blades, tendrils, and heavy hammer-like arms for fighting different types of enemies.
Consuming targets restores health and can provide memories or identities that help during missions. Heller can disguise himself as absorbed characters to infiltrate restricted locations, while upgrades improve movement, health, combat powers, and other abilities as the campaign progresses.
