Stories: The Path of Destinies is an action RPG built around branching decisions and repeated attempts to change the outcome of a doomed rebellion. Players control Reynardo, a former pirate pulled into a conflict against an oppressive emperor and his army of ravens.
The story is designed around discovering what went wrong in previous timelines. Choices made between chapters can lead toward different allies, weapons, betrayals, and endings, while knowledge learned from failed paths remains useful during later attempts to uncover the sequence of events that can produce a better outcome.
How the Gameplay Works
Reynardo explores floating environments from an isometric perspective, fighting groups of enemies with sword attacks, counters, grabs, dashes, and special abilities. Combat rewards moving quickly between targets and maintaining combos while reacting to different enemy types.
Between major encounters, players choose which destination or objective to pursue next. These choices send the story down different branches. Magical swords can be crafted and upgraded, with each weapon also opening particular doors and routes during exploration. Replaying the adventure is therefore a central part of completing the larger narrative.
