Bombun is a colorful 3D platforming adventure set among floating islands and mechanical strongholds high above the clouds. The story follows Bombun, guardian of a fortress in the sky, whose peaceful life is interrupted when her former friend returns in a redesigned mechanical form known as Robombun. Backed by an army of machines and drones, Robombun begins an aerial uprising that sends Bombun across the surrounding worlds.
The adventure combines traditional platforming with explosive abilities and light combat. Six floating worlds provide different routes, obstacles, enemies, and platforming challenges as players make their way toward Robombun’s forces. Its focus is on quick movement and accessible action rather than complicated character management or lengthy progression systems.
How the Gameplay Works
Players guide Bombun through 3D stages by running, jumping, avoiding hazards, and moving between platforms suspended in the sky. Some sections demand accurate jumps and careful timing, while others place robotic enemies directly in the player’s path. Bombun’s explosive attacks can be used to fight these machines while continuing through each environment.
Progress takes players through six separate floating worlds containing sky islands and technological fortresses. Platforming and combat are regularly mixed together, requiring players to avoid environmental dangers while dealing with drones and other mechanical threats. The journey eventually brings Bombun closer to the source of the uprising and her confrontation with Robombun.
