Deflector is a fast action roguelite built around one central ability: sending enemy projectiles back at the creatures that fired them. Players enter hostile environments filled with swarms, bullets, hazards, and bosses while developing increasingly powerful combinations of character abilities and temporary upgrades.
Different playable characters change the basic combat style, ranging from close-range aggression to more specialized approaches. The deflection mechanic remains important throughout the game, turning enemy attacks into potential weapons instead of making every projectile something that must simply be avoided.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move through arenas while attacking enemies, dashing away from danger, and timing deflections to reflect incoming shots. Successful positioning can redirect large groups of projectiles into enemies, allowing a dangerous bullet pattern to become a major source of damage.
Rooms provide upgrade choices that alter statistics and abilities during the current run. Characters have their own weapons and techniques, while bosses demand more precise movement and deflection timing. Progress between attempts unlocks additional options and gradually expands the range of possible builds.
