Death Roads: Tournament is a roguelike deck-building game built around violent vehicle battles across a post-apocalyptic United States. Drivers compete in a deadly tournament where reaching the final destination requires surviving road encounters, upgrading a vehicle, collecting cards, and choosing a route through increasingly dangerous territory.
Cars, drivers, weapons, and equipment influence which cards are available and how a deck can be constructed. Because movement on the road is part of the combat system, positioning a vehicle correctly can be as important as dealing direct damage.
How the Gameplay Works
Battles take place on lanes representing the road. Cards allow the player to accelerate, brake, change position, ram enemies, attack with mounted equipment, or perform special maneuvers. Speed and position influence collisions, making reckless movement capable of damaging both enemies and the player’s own vehicle.
After encounters, players select routes, obtain equipment, modify their deck, repair damage, and prepare for later opponents. Different drivers and vehicles encourage different strategies, while losing a run means beginning another journey with newly learned tactics and additional unlocks.
