Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Portal Power is an action brawler based on the animated TMNT series. Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo travel through unstable portals while fighting familiar villains and groups of Foot Clan soldiers, mutants, robots, and other enemies.
The adventure takes the turtles through different locations and dimensions rather than staying entirely in New York. Each turtle keeps his signature weapon and fighting style, giving players the ability to change which member of the team they are controlling during combat.
How the Gameplay Works
Stages are built around straightforward beat-’em-up combat in which players move through groups of enemies, perform melee combinations, launch special attacks, and deal with stronger opponents. The four turtles can be switched during play, allowing their different abilities to be used as situations change.
Progressing through missions introduces new enemy combinations and boss battles based on characters from the series. Characters can also improve their combat capabilities over time, giving the otherwise accessible brawling system a light progression element.
