About This Game:
The Adventure Pals is a colorful action-platformer about a young hero trying to rescue his kidnapped father from the villainous Mr. B, whose strange plan involves turning people into hot dogs. The journey mixes platforming, combat, quests, and light RPG progression with an intentionally silly sense of humor.
The hero is accompanied by Sparkles the giraffe and a pet rock, both of which play a part in the adventure. Worlds contain towns, NPCs, optional tasks, hidden collectibles, and stages filled with enemies and platforming obstacles.
How the Gameplay Works
Players run, jump, attack enemies, avoid hazards, and explore branching stages. Sparkles can help with movement by extending her neck and acting like a helicopter, giving the player additional control while crossing gaps or reaching platforms.
Defeating enemies earns experience, and leveling up allows new upgrades to be selected. Towns provide side quests that send players back into nearby areas for additional rewards. The main adventure can also be played locally with a second player joining the platforming and combat.
