Steampunk Tower 2 expands the unusual tower-defense concept of the original game into a larger campaign involving a mobile battle tower, worldwide missions, technological upgrades, and a continuing war against heavily armed enemies. Defensive guns are mounted directly onto different levels of the central tower rather than placed freely around a map.
The steampunk setting brings together oversized machinery, mechanical soldiers, aircraft, tanks, and experimental weapons. Outside individual battles, players develop their headquarters, research improvements, and prepare the tower for increasingly difficult enemy forces.
How the Gameplay Works
Enemies approach from both sides while weapon platforms mounted on the tower automatically attack targets within their range. Players can move guns between levels using the tower’s internal mechanisms, allowing damaged weapons to be protected or particular weapon types to be repositioned against new threats.
Different guns perform better against particular enemies, so successful defense depends on upgrading a balanced collection of weapons and moving them when conditions change. The campaign map provides missions, resources, technologies, and additional progression between battles.
