About This Game:
Citizen Sleeper is a narrative RPG set aboard Erlin’s Eye, a decaying space station populated by workers, refugees, criminals, engineers, and others trying to survive beyond the control of powerful interstellar corporations. Players become a Sleeper, a copied human consciousness placed inside an artificial body and hunted by the corporation that considers that body its property.
The story develops through friendships, work, favors, personal goals, and difficult decisions rather than traditional combat-heavy RPG progression. Characters encountered around the station can become important allies as the Sleeper searches for a way to build an independent life.
How the Gameplay Works
At the beginning of each cycle, players receive dice that can be assigned to actions around the station. Higher dice values may improve the chance of a successful result, while damaged physical condition can reduce the quality of future rolls.
Clocks track longer objectives and developing situations, while Drives provide broader personal goals. Players decide whether to spend limited time earning money, finding food, helping friends, investigating threats, or working toward an eventual escape from corporate control.
