Dead Signal is a first-person surveillance horror game from Reflect Studios where the player works for a shady organization called ViVEX, monitoring hacked camera feeds and delivering suspicious packages during a dangerous night shift. The job combines observation, quotas, and survival inside an apartment complex.
The player’s employer demands a minimum number of useful reports every hour, so simply hiding is not an option. Camera problems and deliveries periodically force the player to leave the relative safety of the apartment.
How the Gameplay Works
Players cycle through 23 camera feeds, spot unusual activity, classify reports, repair remote connection problems, and meet hourly quotas. Timed deliveries require using the elevator and moving through the building while remaining alert.
The apartment can also be threatened, so players need to lock doors and pay attention to sounds or visual changes nearby. The tension comes from balancing surveillance work with physical movement, knowing that danger can appear both on the cameras and in the player’s immediate surroundings. The strongest approaches usually come from balancing 23-camera surveillance system with hourly report quotas and first-person horror instead of maximizing a single feature. Later on, timed package deliveries becomes another important consideration and can punish inefficient choices. This makes planning, positioning, or resource use increasingly meaningful as the challenge grows.
