Don’t Be Afraid is a first-person psychological horror game in which a young boy named David awakens after being kidnapped by a dangerous stranger. Trapped inside an unfamiliar house, he must search for a way out while discovering disturbing evidence about the person holding him captive.
The game relies on unsettling environments, pursuit sequences, puzzles, and disturbing imagery rather than giving the protagonist conventional combat abilities.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore rooms, examine objects, collect keys and useful items, and solve puzzles that open deeper sections of the house. Notes and environmental details gradually reveal more about the kidnapper and previous events.
David is vulnerable, so dangerous encounters often require hiding, escaping, or avoiding threats rather than confronting them directly. Decisions and discoveries made during the escape can contribute to different endings.
