Dungeons of Dreadrock is a tile-based puzzle adventure set across one hundred handcrafted dungeon floors. Players control a young woman searching for her brother after he enters the mountain to face the Dead King.
The game looks like a simple dungeon crawler but is built primarily around logic, timing, and environmental puzzles.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move one tile at a time, avoid monsters, activate switches, push objects, use traps, and plan routes through compact rooms.
Each floor introduces a new idea or combination of earlier mechanics. The story unfolds between puzzles, while success depends more on clever movement than combat statistics. Most of the depth comes from understanding how 100 handcrafted dungeon floors, tile-based puzzle movement, and traps and switches fit together during normal play. Each feature can become more valuable in a different situation, and monster avoidance gives later objectives another layer of difficulty. Adapting those systems to the current problem is usually more effective than following one rigid plan. As more of the game opens up, 100 handcrafted dungeon floors remains central but gains extra depth from tile-based puzzle movement and traps and switches.
