About This Game:
DYSMANTLE is an open-world survival action RPG set on an island devastated by a mysterious catastrophe. After emerging from an underground shelter, the player discovers abandoned settlements, hostile creatures, ruined infrastructure, and a large environment filled with materials that can be gathered by breaking apart the objects left behind.
A defining feature is the ability to dismantle much of the environment. Furniture, fences, electronics, walls, machinery, and numerous other objects can be destroyed for materials, which are then used to craft tools, weapons, equipment, and upgrades needed to explore increasingly dangerous regions.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore from an angled top-down perspective while fighting creatures, collecting resources, completing quests, and opening new areas. Different tools allow increasingly durable objects to be dismantled, creating a steady progression where previously inaccessible resources become available after equipment improves.
Campfires function as important resting and progression points, while crafting allows new weapons, tools, clothing, and useful items to be created. The island also contains puzzles, fishing, farming, cooking, hidden locations, and optional challenges that provide activities beyond the main storyline.
