Flyout is an aircraft-building and simulation game where players design custom airplanes in a detailed editor and then test how those designs behave in flight. The game focuses on engineering freedom rather than giving players a fixed set of finished aircraft.
The editor supports shaping fuselages, wings, control surfaces, engines, landing gear, and other components. Visual design and aerodynamic function are closely connected, so an attractive aircraft still needs correct balance and control surfaces to fly well.
How the Gameplay Works
Players construct aircraft from individual parts, adjust dimensions and placement, configure engines and controls, then enter flight mode to test takeoff, handling, stability, and landing behavior.
Iteration is the core loop. A design that stalls, spins, or cannot leave the runway can be returned to the editor and adjusted. Sharing creations and experimenting with unconventional designs gives the game much of its long-term appeal.
