Goodnight Universe is a narrative adventure told from the unusual perspective of Isaac, a six-month-old baby who begins developing psychic abilities. Isaac cannot simply explain what is happening to the adults around him, so his biggest concern remains the same as any young child: staying close to his family and feeling safe and accepted.
The situation becomes more dangerous when a secretive technology corporation becomes interested in Isaac’s abilities. What begins as an intimate family story gradually expands into a science-fiction mystery, with the player’s unusual point of view shaping how conversations, household events, and supernatural moments are experienced.
How the Gameplay Works
Players experience the story from a first-person perspective and interact with scenes while following Isaac’s relationships with the people around him. Psychic abilities become part of both the narrative and the player’s interactions, allowing a baby with extremely limited physical independence to influence events in unexpected ways.
An optional camera-as-controller mode expands the interaction system by using camera-based input rather than relying entirely on traditional controls. The story progresses through cinematic sequences, conversations, environmental interactions, and emotional decisions rather than combat. Discovering why Isaac possesses these powers and what the corporation wants from him drives the larger mystery forward.
