About This Game:
Gothic 2 is an open-world action RPG set after the fall of the magical barrier from the first game. The Nameless Hero arrives near the city of Khorinis as a new threat emerges, with dragons and other creatures gathering while the kingdom struggles with the consequences of war.
The world reacts strongly to the player’s actions and social position. Joining one of the major factions changes available quests, equipment, training opportunities, and parts of the story, giving character progression a close connection to the world itself.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore towns, farms, forests, caves, and dangerous wilderness while talking with characters and accepting quests. Combat uses melee weapons, bows, crossbows, and magic, while skills generally improve by spending learning points with appropriate trainers.
Many enemies can be encountered before the hero is strong enough to defeat them, making exploration risky. Reputation and faction membership unlock new opportunities, while choices during quests can produce different reactions from characters and communities.
