Anvil Saga is a medieval blacksmith management game where players inherit a small forge and attempt to turn it into a respected business. Customers range from ordinary villagers to soldiers and powerful factions, and the commissions accepted can influence both income and political relationships.
The workshop can be expanded underground and above ground with additional rooms, equipment, storage, and living space. Workers have individual needs and skills, making the forge both a production business and a small people-management simulation.
How the Gameplay Works
Players accept orders, purchase or mine materials, assign smiths to crafting stations, and deliver completed items before deadlines. Different jobs require specific resources and labor, so taking too many commissions at once can overload the workshop.
Employees need food, sleep, and suitable working conditions while their skills improve through experience. Decisions involving rival factions and customers can alter reputation, available orders, and story events as the business develops.
