Here Comes The Swarm is a survival real-time strategy game about rebuilding settlements in the land of Ulora while fighting an enormous hive-minded enemy. Players must establish communities strong enough to survive repeated attacks before organizing expeditions that strike directly at the Swarm rather than remaining permanently on defense.
A full pause system allows orders and construction decisions to be planned without constant time pressure. This gives players room to manage resources, buildings, workers, defenses, and military actions before allowing events to continue.
How the Gameplay Works
Players gather resources and construct settlements containing the infrastructure needed to keep inhabitants alive. Defensive structures and military forces are positioned in preparation for attacks from the Swarm.
Once a settlement becomes stable, expeditions can move beyond its borders in search of resources and enemy targets. Pausing allows complex commands to be issued during dangerous situations, while successful offensive operations gradually weaken the hive mind and reclaim more of Ulora.
