Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak is a real-time strategy prequel set on the desert world of Kharak. The campaign follows Rachel S’jet and the carrier Kapisi as an expedition crosses hostile territory in search of a mysterious anomaly.
The game brings Homeworld’s fleet-management ideas to the ground, using terrain elevation and line of sight as important tactical factors.
How the Gameplay Works
Players command armored vehicles, aircraft, cruisers, support units, and the massive carrier across open desert maps. Units can use high ground for range advantages and cover behind terrain.
Resources support production and upgrades, while surviving units carry experience between campaign missions.
