About This Game:
It Lurks Below is a 2D survival RPG that combines action combat with digging, crafting, exploration, and character development. Players descend beneath the surface into a dangerous procedurally generated world filled with monsters, valuable resources, hidden chambers, and increasingly powerful enemies.
Different character classes allow the adventure to be approached through varied abilities and equipment. Building a safe home above ground provides somewhere to store resources and prepare before returning to the hostile depths below.
How the Gameplay Works
Players dig through underground areas while gathering ore, materials, weapons, and useful items. Combat takes place in real time, with enemies becoming more dangerous as the player travels deeper and reaches new regions.
Resources can be used for crafting and improving the player’s base, while experience and equipment make the chosen character stronger. Procedural generation changes the underground layout, ensuring that exploration does not follow exactly the same route in every world.
