About This Game:
Kingdom Wars 4: The Plague is a medieval grand strategy and real-time strategy game set during the devastation of the Black Death. Players take control of a kingdom or lord and attempt to survive political conflict, warfare, economic collapse, and a plague capable of destroying entire settlements.
The campaign combines strategic management with battles played directly in real time. Armies, towns, diplomacy, trade, taxation, disease, and territorial conquest all contribute to whether a realm survives the crisis or disappears entirely.
How the Gameplay Works
On the strategic layer, players move armies, manage settlements, raise taxes, recruit troops, develop towns, and interact with neighboring powers. The plague can spread through populated areas and severely reduce both economic output and available manpower.
When armies clash, players command units directly on real-time battlefields, using infantry, archers, cavalry, siege equipment, formations, and terrain. Capturing and defending settlements requires balancing battlefield success with the resources needed to maintain a functioning kingdom.
