LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham expands the LEGO Batman series from Gotham City into outer space, bringing Batman and other DC heroes together against Brainiac. The story travels through the Watchtower, Lantern worlds, and other locations while using a large roster of heroes and villains from across the DC universe.
The game keeps the familiar LEGO mixture of light combat, puzzles, collectibles, and character-specific abilities. Suits are especially important, with Batman and Robin changing into specialized outfits that provide tools needed for different obstacles.
How the Gameplay Works
Players fight enemies, smash LEGO objects, rebuild pieces into useful machines, fly with suitable characters, and solve puzzles using abilities such as lasers, electricity, super strength, hacking, shrinking, sensor vision, and suit gadgets. Characters can be switched when the current puzzle requires another power.
Completed stages can be replayed in Free Play with unlocked characters to reach previously inaccessible secrets. Hubs and Lantern planets contain side activities, character tokens, gold bricks, and other collectibles, while local co-op allows two players to explore together.
