Lovecraft’s Untold Stories is an action roguelite inspired by H. P. Lovecraft’s fiction, combining top-down combat with investigation, random events, cult activity, and sanity-threatening discoveries. Players explore locations such as mansions, hospitals, underground areas, and other places affected by cosmic horror.
Different playable characters approach danger in different ways, including firearms, melee weapons, investigation tools, and specialist abilities. Knowledge can be as important as firepower because understanding the Mythos helps unlock better outcomes.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move through procedurally arranged rooms, fight cultists and monsters, collect weapons and consumables, investigate objects, and make choices during story events. Health and sanity both need to be managed during longer runs.
Clues and special items can reveal more about major entities and help characters survive encounters that would otherwise be overwhelming. Repeated attempts gradually teach players which events are dangerous and which choices may provide useful rewards.
