Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Spearhead is an expansion to Allied Assault that follows U.S. paratrooper Sergeant Jack Barnes through several major operations in the European theater of World War II. The campaign begins with an airborne drop during the Normandy invasion and later moves through battles connected to Market Garden and the Ardennes.
The expansion keeps the cinematic first-person shooting style of Allied Assault while adding new weapons, missions, allied soldiers, enemy encounters, and multiplayer content. Battles alternate between close infantry combat, defensive positions, assaults on fortified areas, and larger war scenes filled with scripted events.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move through linear mission objectives using period firearms, grenades, mounted weapons, and other equipment. Health and ammunition are collected from the environment, and allied troops frequently fight alongside the player during large engagements. Mission goals include clearing positions, destroying targets, surviving ambushes, and supporting offensive operations.
Multiplayer expands the available maps and equipment with additional modes and faction options. The single-player campaign is shorter than the base game but focuses on a compact sequence of historically inspired operations across several fronts.
