Mordheim: City of the Damned is a turn-based tactical RPG based on the Warhammer tabletop game. Rival warbands enter the ruined city of Mordheim searching for valuable Wyrdstone while fighting enemies in narrow streets, abandoned buildings, courtyards, and shattered districts.
Warriors develop persistent injuries and abilities between missions, making every serious casualty potentially important to the long-term survival of the warband.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move individual fighters through three-dimensional environments using movement and action resources. Cover, elevation, ambushes, charge routes, spell ranges, and control of narrow passages can determine whether an engagement succeeds.
Surviving fighters gain experience, equipment, and new skills, while severe injuries may leave permanent penalties or physical changes. Campaign management includes recruiting replacements and developing a roster capable of surviving increasingly dangerous missions.
