About This Game:
My Summer Car is an open-world life and car-building simulation set in rural Finland during the 1990s. The central project is assembling an old car from a large collection of individual parts, but the player’s character also needs food, money, fuel, sleep, and other everyday necessities.
The game combines detailed mechanical work with intentionally unpredictable rural life. Vehicles can break down, the player can take temporary jobs, and careless decisions may cause accidents or other problems that make completing the car considerably harder.
How the Gameplay Works
Players manually install engine components, suspension, wiring, body parts, fluids, and other systems using appropriate tools. A correctly assembled car must still be tuned, fueled, inspected, and maintained before it becomes a reliable road vehicle.
Money comes from various jobs and activities around the map and is spent on parts, food, fuel, and other supplies. The player can also use several other vehicles for transport while dealing with survival needs and the consequences of dangerous driving.
