About This Game:
Portal 2 is a first-person puzzle game that returns to the abandoned Aperture Science facility long after the events of the original Portal. Chell once again becomes trapped inside the enormous testing complex, where damaged laboratories, forgotten underground facilities, and the returning artificial intelligence GLaDOS reveal much more about Aperture’s history.
The sequel expands the portal concept with new environmental mechanics, larger puzzle chambers, a longer story, and a separate cooperative campaign featuring two robotic test subjects.
How the Gameplay Works
The portal gun creates two connected portals on compatible surfaces. Entering one instantly exits through the other while preserving momentum, allowing players to cross gaps, gain speed, redirect objects, and reach locations that would otherwise be impossible.
Later puzzles combine portals with aerial faith plates, lasers, excursion funnels, light bridges, and different mobility gels. The cooperative campaign requires two players to use four portals together, creating puzzles specifically designed around communication and coordinated actions rather than simply repeating the single-player chambers.
