About This Game:
Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is a tactical stealth game set in Japan during the Edo period. A new Shogun has brought stability to the country but faces conspirators threatening his rule, leading him to assemble a small group of specialists capable of espionage, sabotage, infiltration, and assassination.
The team includes five characters with very different abilities, including the ninja Hayato, samurai Mugen, thief Yuki, marksman Takuma, and spy Aiko. Missions take place across castles, villages, mountains, camps, and other heavily guarded locations where combining their talents is more effective than relying on a single character.
How the Gameplay Works
Players control characters from an overhead perspective while studying guard patrols and vision cones. Hayato can use stealth and distractions, Mugen can fight stronger opponents directly, Yuki can set traps, Takuma attacks from long range, and Aiko can disguise herself to move through guarded spaces.
Shadow Mode allows several actions to be prepared in advance and executed together, making synchronized takedowns possible. Bodies can be hidden, guards distracted, and multiple routes explored, allowing many missions to be completed through different combinations of stealth and carefully planned attacks.
