About This Game:
Shady Part of Me is a puzzle adventure centered on a young girl and the living shadow that accompanies her. The two versions of the character experience the environment differently, creating a journey built around perspective, light, darkness, and cooperation.
The game uses a hand-painted visual style and a dreamlike atmosphere as the pair move through surreal environments. Its puzzles gradually reveal more about their relationship while presenting obstacles that require switching between two-dimensional and three-dimensional spaces.
How the Gameplay Works
The girl moves through 3D environments while her shadow travels across walls and other surfaces as a 2D character. Objects in the physical world can change the shape and position of shadows, allowing one character to create safe routes for the other.
Players repeatedly switch between both perspectives, manipulating lights, moving objects, avoiding hazards, and solving environmental puzzles. A rewind mechanic allows mistakes to be reversed without requiring entire sections to be restarted.
