Sudden Strike: Resource War expands the tactical warfare of Sudden Strike II with new campaigns, maps, units, and a stronger emphasis on keeping armies supplied during extended operations. Battles remain centered on World War II combined-arms tactics rather than traditional base construction.
The additional resource and logistics considerations make supply lines more important. Heavy weapons and armored formations can dominate a battlefield only while fuel, ammunition, repairs, and supporting troops remain available.
How the Gameplay Works
Players command infantry, tanks, artillery, transport vehicles, and other units in real time. Forests, buildings, elevation, and scouting affect visibility and survival while artillery can attack targets beyond normal sight range when properly supported.
Supply and resource management adds another consideration to battlefield movement. Capturing or protecting useful positions can help maintain operations, while losing key support vehicles can leave otherwise powerful forces unable to continue effectively.
