About This Game:
Tales of Berseria is an action RPG that follows Velvet Crowe, a young woman driven by anger and revenge after a tragedy changes her life. Her journey across the Holy Midgand Empire brings her together with pirates, demons, exorcists, and other outsiders while challenging the authority of the Abbey.
The game presents a darker protagonist than many earlier Tales entries, but the party still develops through extensive conversations and character interactions. Exploration moves between towns, fields, dungeons, ships, and story locations across several islands and regions.
How the Gameplay Works
Battles take place in real time with free movement around the arena. Players assign Artes to different buttons, build attack strings, target enemy weaknesses, switch characters, and use character-specific Break Souls that consume Souls for powerful effects.
Equipment can teach passive skills through repeated use, while cooking, expeditions, side quests, and optional battles provide additional progression. Mystic Artes act as powerful cinematic attacks once the required conditions are met.
