About This Game:
Tekken 1 is the first entry in the 3D fighting series and introduces the original King of Iron Fist Tournament. Fighters from different backgrounds enter the competition, with Kazuya Mishima’s conflict with his father Heihachi forming the central story.

The game established the series’ distinctive four-button control system, assigning one button to each limb. Its early 3D arenas and character designs laid the foundation for later entries even though movement and combo systems were still comparatively simple.

How the Gameplay Works
Players combine left and right punches with left and right kicks to create strings, launchers, throws, sweeps, and character-specific attacks. Directional inputs modify moves, while blocking and spacing are important against stronger opponents.

Arcade progression sends each fighter through a ladder of battles toward the final opponent. Local versus play allows two players to compete directly and learn the different ranges and move sets of the original roster.
