About This Game:
The Great Perhaps is a narrative puzzle platformer about an astronaut who returns to Earth after a global catastrophe and discovers a planet that appears almost completely abandoned. While exploring the ruins of civilization, he finds a mysterious lantern capable of revealing scenes from the world before disaster struck.
The story uses this connection between past and present to explore what happened to the planet and the people who once lived there. Environmental puzzles frequently require information or objects from one time period to overcome obstacles in the other.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move through side-scrolling environments, jumping across hazards, interacting with objects, and using the lantern to view sections of the past. Changes between the ruined present and the populated past can reveal paths, clues, characters, or dangers that are otherwise impossible to see.
