Warlords Battlecry brings the fantasy setting of the Warlords series into real-time strategy while adding role-playing development for hero characters. Players command fantasy armies, capture resource sites, construct bases, and lead a hero whose experience and abilities can continue developing between scenarios.
Its factions represent different fantasy races with their own troop selections and tactical identities. The hero system adds another layer by allowing powerful characters to specialize in particular classes and contribute directly to both combat and army management.
How the Gameplay Works
Workers build structures and convert resource locations while military buildings train different unit types. Players expand across the map, defend their economy, and destroy or capture enemy positions in standard real-time strategy fashion.
Heroes accompany the army, cast spells, gain experience, and improve their statistics as battles continue. Keeping a developed hero alive can provide a major advantage during later campaign missions.
