About This Game:
Acron: Attack of the Squirrels is an asymmetrical party game that combines virtual reality with mobile devices. One player becomes a large tree in VR while the remaining players use phones or tablets to control squirrels attempting to steal the tree’s golden acorns.
The unusual setup makes it possible for one VR headset to support a group multiplayer experience. Each side has different abilities, creating a fast contest between the tree’s defensive attacks and the squirrels’ attempts to cooperate and escape with enough acorns.
How the Gameplay Works
The VR player uses motion controls to grab and throw objects at approaching squirrels. From the tree’s central position, the player must watch several directions at once as attackers approach from around the environment.
Mobile players choose squirrels with different abilities and race toward the acorns while avoiding incoming objects. Cooperation helps distract the tree and create openings for teammates to reach the objective and return safely.
