Action Doom 2: Urban Brawl is a first-person beat-’em-up that transforms the Doom-style engine into a hand-to-hand street fighting game. Players take control of a hardened fighter searching through a violent city after his daughter is kidnapped. The journey leads through streets, bars, buildings, industrial areas, and other dangerous locations filled with gang members, criminals, and increasingly unusual enemies.
Instead of relying mainly on firearms, the game places heavy emphasis on punching, kicking, and using objects found around the environment as improvised weapons. Its cel-shaded graphics, illustrated story sequences, and exaggerated characters give the adventure the appearance of an interactive comic book. The campaign also includes branching routes and different outcomes, giving players reasons to return and explore choices they may have missed during an earlier playthrough.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore levels from a first-person perspective while fighting enemies at close range. Basic punches can be combined with stronger attacks, while weapons and objects found throughout the environment provide additional ways to deal damage.
