AirStrike II: Gulf Thunder is an arcade helicopter shooter that sends players through hostile Middle Eastern-inspired combat zones. The action is viewed from above as an armed helicopter moves across battlefields filled with tanks, defensive installations, aircraft, boats, and other enemy forces.
The game concentrates on continuous combat rather than realistic helicopter simulation. Large numbers of targets appear throughout missions, while weapon bonuses and upgrades give the helicopter increasingly powerful ways to clear heavily defended areas.
How the Gameplay Works
Players guide the helicopter around the battlefield while firing at ground and airborne enemies. Cannons and missile-based weapons can be used against different target types, while constant movement helps avoid incoming fire from multiple directions.
Destroyed enemies can leave useful bonuses and weapon improvements behind. Missions gradually increase the number of armored targets and defensive positions, making upgrades particularly valuable during later battles. Larger enemies and heavily fortified locations require sustained attacks while avoiding concentrated return fire.
