About This Game:
Alaska Gold Fever is a first-person gold-prospecting and survival simulation set during the Alaskan gold rush. Players begin as an ordinary prospector with basic equipment and gradually work toward becoming the owner of a much larger operation. Searching for valuable deposits is only the beginning, as mined resources can be processed, tools improved, businesses established, and workers hired as the player’s wealth increases.
The Alaskan wilderness creates its own problems through extreme cold, dangerous animals, limited stamina, and the need for proper preparation. Hunting, cooking, crafting, exploration, and business management all contribute to survival and progression. A main story, side quests, hidden treasures, unusual characters, and mysterious locations also provide objectives away from the daily mining routine.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore mining areas, extract resources, process different forms of gold, and invest earnings into more effective equipment. Better tools improve efficiency and allow increasingly ambitious mining operations to be developed. Materials gathered during exploration can also be taken to specialized workshops for crafting useful equipment and supplies.
Travelling farther into the wilderness requires warmer clothing, suitable meals, and careful management of stamina and energy because temperatures become increasingly dangerous. Animals can be hunted for meat, hides, furs, and trophies, with material quality influenced by equipment and hunting ability. Later progression allows players to establish mines, farms, and a hotel, hire employees, and manage production instead of relying entirely on their own labor.
