About This Game:
Alisa is a retro survival-horror game inspired by late-1990s classics. Players control Alisa, an elite agent trapped in a strange Victorian-style mansion filled with dolls, monsters, puzzles, and secrets.
The overall structure benefits from classic survival horror, fixed-camera presentation, and limited resources, which give players a clear sense of progress while still leaving room for experimentation. As more of the game opens up, those systems become more useful rather than fading into the background.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore fixed-camera rooms, manage ammunition and health, solve puzzles, collect keys, and fight enemies with limited resources. The deliberate controls and pre-rendered-style environments recreate an old-school horror feel.
Over time, puzzle solving, victorian dollhouse setting, and weapon management create additional layers around the main gameplay loop. This keeps progression from feeling static and encourages the player to refine the approach instead of relying on one safe tactic. Later sections build naturally on the core systems instead of replacing them. classic survival horror remains important, but fixed-camera presentation and limited resources provide more specialized choices as the player progresses. When puzzle solving becomes more demanding, better use of everything already learned becomes essential. Repeated play becomes more interesting once the player recognizes how classic survival horror, fixed-camera presentation, and limited resources influence one another. The best solution is not always the most obvious one, and puzzle solving can change which option is worth prioritizing in a difficult encounter or objective.
