About This Game:
Ancient Enemy is a strategic card-based RPG set in a world where evil has already won. The player’s hero begins weakened and must gradually recover lost powers while traveling through corrupted landscapes filled with distorted creatures and eventually preparing for a final confrontation with an ancient nemesis.
Card battles are mixed with puzzle-like decisions, character progression, equipment, and spells. Rather than constructing a conventional deck full of attack cards alone, players use combinations created from the board to power their available abilities.
How the Gameplay Works
Players match and collect cards from the play area to generate the resources required for attacks, defensive actions, and magical powers. Choosing which cards to remove can create larger combinations and prepare stronger actions for later turns.
Enemies have different abilities and weaknesses, requiring players to select suitable equipment and powers before important encounters. New skills and improvements gradually restore the protagonist’s strength as the journey approaches the final enemy.
