ARMA: Gold Edition combines ARMA: Armed Assault with the Queen’s Gambit expansion. The game is a realistic tactical military simulation built around large battlefields where infantry, armored vehicles, helicopters, aircraft, boats, and other units can participate in the same conflict.
Instead of guiding players through tightly scripted shooting galleries, ARMA places greater responsibility on planning, positioning, awareness, and battlefield communication. Long engagement distances and dangerous weapons mean careless movement can end a mission quickly.
How the Gameplay Works
Players fight from first-person or third-person perspectives and can control individual soldiers as well as many military vehicles. Missions may involve infantry assaults, reconnaissance, transport, armored warfare, air operations, defensive objectives, and command of additional troops.
The game’s environments cover hundreds of square kilometers, allowing missions to take place across forests, towns, coastlines, roads, and open countryside. A built-in mission editor lets players construct their own battles using the game’s large collection of military and civilian units. Queen’s Gambit adds further campaign content and equipment to the package.
