Astral Ascent is a 2D action roguelite set inside the Garden, an astral prison guarded by twelve powerful Zodiacs. Players choose from several heroes and attempt repeated escapes through beautifully animated fantasy environments.
Each hero has unique basic attacks and movement, while spells are found during runs and can be modified with elemental effects and passive bonuses.
How the Gameplay Works
Players jump, dash, attack enemies, cast spells, collect auras, and move through branching rooms. Combat rewards fast movement and combining spell effects into strong synergies.
The twelve Zodiac bosses serve as major progression milestones. Permanent upgrades in the hub improve later attempts, while local and online cooperative options allow two players to escape together. The game balances platforming precision with build-heavy roguelite progression. The progression becomes more engaging once 2d action roguelite, multiple playable heroes, and spell and aura builds begin to overlap.
