About This Game:
Astrologaster is a narrative comedy based on the real Elizabethan astrologer and physician Simon Forman. During an outbreak of plague in London, Forman treats patients by examining the stars and giving advice based on astrology, despite the questionable reliability of his methods.

Each patient brings a personal, medical, romantic, financial, or political problem. Their stories continue over multiple consultations, allowing earlier advice to produce consequences that may help Forman’s reputation or create even more trouble.

How the Gameplay Works
Players listen to a patient’s problem and examine an astrological chart before choosing between several possible interpretations. The chosen advice changes how that character’s storyline develops when they return later.

Forman hopes to gain enough support to secure a medical license, so keeping patients satisfied can be important even when the most flattering answer is not necessarily wise. Musical introductions and theatrical dialogue give each consultation the style of a comic stage performance.
