Battle Grid is an action roguelite and auto-battler where players assemble a squadron of mechs and survive massive alien hordes while harvesting resources from hostile planets. Units and weapons are arranged into a grid that determines the team’s overall build.
The game includes dozens of units and weapons, with synergies that reward combining compatible mech types or attack systems.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move the squad through an arena while units fire automatically, collect resources from defeated enemies, and choose new mechs, weapons, or upgrades. Runs last through increasingly dense waves and boss encounters.
Permanent grid upgrades improve future attempts, while challenge modifiers add additional difficulty. With more than eighty weapons and units, the main strategy comes from finding combinations that scale effectively before the later waves become overwhelming. As more of the game opens up, mech horde-survival roguelite remains central but gains extra depth from auto-battler squad grid and 80+ weapons. Those systems create room for different strategies, while 80+ units encourages better use of the tools already introduced. Progress therefore feels like an expansion of the original loop rather than a series of disconnected mechanics.
