About This Game:
Beholgar 2 is a retro-styled Metroidvania that sends its barbarian hero into another dark fantasy adventure involving ancient magic and a dangerous Djinn King. The interconnected world stretches through cursed forests, underground dungeons, temples, and increasingly supernatural areas on the journey toward an ancient sword.
Its presentation intentionally resembles 16-bit and 32-bit action games, complete with pixel artwork and optional CRT-style effects. Middle Eastern mythology mixes with traditional sword-and-sorcery influences to give its monsters and environments a distinct identity.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore side-scrolling areas while fighting enemies with melee weapons and magical abilities. New powers and spells allow access to routes that could not be reached during earlier visits.
Hidden upgrades and legendary weapons reward searching beyond the direct path. Bosses provide major combat tests, while returning to previously explored locations with new abilities gradually opens more of the interconnected map.
