BETON BRUTAL is a first-person parkour game about climbing an enormous brutalist structure covered with concrete platforms, pipes, beams, vegetation, and increasingly dangerous obstacles. The objective sounds simple: keep moving upward. The difficulty comes from the fact that one poorly judged jump can send the player falling through a large section of the tower and erase a substantial amount of progress.
Its quiet architecture and minimal presentation create a surprisingly tense experience because nearly every movement can matter. There is little separating the player from a long fall, turning basic platforming actions into careful tests of positioning, momentum, and confidence.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move through the environment in first person using running, jumping, climbing, and precise directional control. Platforms vary greatly in size and shape, and later sections demand increasingly accurate movement across narrow beams, awkward surfaces, ladders, and other structures. Learning how the character responds in the air is essential for maintaining progress.
There are no traditional enemies to defeat. The tower itself is the challenge, and the main punishment for failure is falling. Some mistakes cost only a few seconds, while larger drops can return the player far below the point they had reached, making patience and consistency as important as mechanical skill.
